Mel Everson

Reception Manager

Mel is an experienced Medical Receptionist who loves being part of a health focused team, who bring best patient care to our community.

Her work super power: An ability to interact with people from all walks of life with patience & understanding.

After hours: Mel enjoys switching off after a shift is time with my family, a swim in the ocean and the odd cheeky afternoon roller skating (carefully now!), and exploring along the local Rail Trail.

Her local tip: “The Rail Trail is fabulous for so many reasons. Amazing scenery, super good exercise if you’re silly enough to take your old cruiser and there plenty of spots to snack along the way!”

Maree Morrin

Medical Receptionist

From an early age, Maree dreamed of working at the front desk— ever since she spent hours tapping away on her grandmother’s manual typewriter! Now living that dream, Maree is right at home on the front reception, greeting patients with warmth and humour. She especially loves engaging with older patients and drawing on her wealth of experience to make them feel welcome and supported.

Her work superpower: A natural with elderly patients and a calming presence at the front desk.

After hours: you’ll find Maree winding down with a drink in hand, enjoying the view from her home lookout with her partner.

Julie Murphy

With a rich background as an RN and Director of Nursing, Julie brings clinical insight and deep compassion to her work on reception. Whether she’s coordinating care plans or supporting patients at the front desk, she’s driven by a desire to connect and make a difference. Julie has also led teams in disability support and counselling services and is a confident advocate for people of all abilities.

Her work superpower: She is authentic, empathetic, and always ready with a solution.

After hours: Julie loves sunset walks, capturing the world through her camera lens, or sipping an ink gin & tonic. Her local tip: Stroll the riverbank to the cane fields with Mt Warning on the horizon.

Andrea Nix

Business Manager

Andrea has spent over a decade in healthcare, including eight years as Practice Manager at McKid Medical in Kyogle. She recently helped bring Wollumbin Medical to life, turning a vision for better local healthcare into reality.

Work superpowers: working through problems until she finds the perfect solution — and fixing printers like a pro!

After hours: Andrea enjoys life on her family’s farm and being a piano, art, and sport mum, often on the road driving her kids to classes, training, and games
